We so greatly underestimate the power of thought!
Everything is connected; It follows that if a thought can pollute our inner environment it will also be poisoning our relationships and that includes everything from our relationships with the people, plants and animals around us, to the air, water and earth which sustain them. Although an unfocused and unintentional thought is far less influential than one that is clear and powerful, the collective musings of a large percentage of humanity probably make up, to some extent, for a good deal of wishy washy lack of intention.
Rupert Sheldrake's 'morphogenetic waves' describe the phenomena very well; the more people thinking about something or committing something to memory or dreaming of something, the deeper the rut in the ether and the more likely that other unsuspecting, unconscious people will fall into it. That is to say they will be picking up the same thoughts like radio waves on a head set and imagining them to be their own.
Really concentrating with intention on an idea or a vision of a potential reality or the solution to a problem of some sort, increases the power of thought exponentially. Could it be the beginning of a solution if many conscious individuals actually took their thought power in hand and stopped creating random psyhic pollution to begin with? Take it one step further and we could work on a positive thought form that would begin a cycle of healing within ourselves that would move out into our world. A group of individuals concentrating together on such a positive thought form could have an impact far beyond the sum of their individual efforts. So what are we waiting for!
