The Cows · Page 5

Early humans scrape and stretch cattle hides outside their huts, with children nearby.

Every part of us was sacred.

Our hooves and bones were made into tools; our intestines were strung over bows; they were made into musical instruments and used for sewing our hides into coats.

Biodynamists use cows’ horns and cow dung to create special preparations that enhance soil fertility.

It is thought that the horns can concentrate life forces in the soil and make them available to plants.

It is recognized that these practices not only enhance food quality and shelf life but also increase the plants’ resistance to disease and prevent their uptake of radioactive particles.
